A big thanks to all the people who sponsored me, wished me good luck, called, texted, emailed me and the people who came down on the day. Couldn't have done it without you.

Are you doing any more? I was looking at your times and see what you would typically see in a first triathlon. Your times were somewhat worse than you expected. The reasons for this are typically the excitement of going out too hard in the swim and then slowing dramatically during it. Also, T1 can't really be practiced in a non-race simulation as coming out of the water, wearing a wetsuit and getting ready for the run can't take into account the more than 50 IQ points that one loses between entering and exiting the water. Also, the run always starts out ugly and doesn't really improve. Now that you have a race under your belt, you won't have the mysteries that bring anxiety. You'll have the experience that drives confidence. I hope you keep up with Triathlons, you seemed to take it seriously and should keep going!
